“Prince Andrew Accused of Orchestrating Smear Campaign”

Must read

Prince Andrew is once again embroiled in controversy amid reports suggesting he attempted to persuade the Metropolitan Police to launch a smear campaign against Virginia Giuffre, a sex offense victim. This revelation has sparked outrage among senior officials.

The Duke of York, who has consistently denied any allegations of sexual misconduct, allegedly instructed his Met bodyguard, a member of the elite SO14 Royalty Protection Group, to investigate Giuffre by providing her personal details such as her date of birth and social security number.

Furthermore, it is believed that Andrew sought assistance from Ed Perkins, one of Queen Elizabeth’s senior aides, to obtain damaging information about Giuffre. An email obtained by The Mail on Sunday purportedly reveals Andrew’s communication with Perkins just before a controversial photograph of him with Giuffre, who was 17 years old at the time, was published.

In the email, Andrew reportedly accused Giuffre of having a criminal record in the United States, a claim refuted by her family. However, it is unclear whether the officer complied with Andrew’s alleged requests. The Metropolitan Police stated they are actively examining the claims but have not initiated a formal investigation.

Broadcaster Emily Maitlis expressed her satisfaction with the police’s response, emphasizing the importance of seeking justice for victims if individuals have made their lives more difficult. Maitlis also highlighted Andrew’s continued contact with Jeffrey Epstein, suggesting unresolved ties between them.

Energy Secretary Ed Miliband echoed concerns over the allegations, emphasizing the inappropriate use of close protection officers if the claims are substantiated. Regarding the possibility of stripping Andrew of his titles, Miliband stated that the government would defer to the Royal Family’s stance on the matter.

Giuffre’s family condemned the email as an attempt to undermine and defame survivors, expressing confidence that the truth will eventually come to light.
