A Government minister has stated that Prince Andrew did not merit the titles he has been stripped of.
Sir Chris Bryant disclosed an encounter with the disgraced Royal, highlighting Andrew’s insistence on using a helicopter for arrival, contrary to the late Queen’s usual mode of transport by car. Trade Minister Sir Chris remarked on the evident abuse of position and expressed that the majority of the public have long advocated for the removal of Andrew’s titles.
He also recommended that Andrew should travel to the US to address inquiries regarding his connections to Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted paedophile financier.
In a significant development, Buckingham Palace announced Andrew’s agreement to vacate Royal Lodge due to ongoing controversies surrounding his association with Epstein. Henceforth, he will be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.
Sir Chris remarked on the persistent allegations, particularly those from Virginia Giuffre, emphasizing the misuse of trust by Andrew and his perceived immunity to legal ramifications for gaining favors from an underage individual. Giuffre tragically passed away earlier this year.
Reflecting on his single encounter with Andrew, Sir Chris recalled the Royal’s unconventional arrival in a helicopter during a visit to Rhondda, contrasting it with the Queen’s customary car arrivals.
Speaking on BBC Breakfast, Sir Chris asserted that Andrew, now considered an ordinary member of the public, should comply if requested to address queries in the US. He stressed the importance of Andrew’s cooperation with any such requests from a Senate committee.
While Andrew denies the accusations, Buckingham Palace acknowledged “serious lapses of judgment.” The Palace confirmed his transition to the title of Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and his forthcoming relocation from Royal Lodge to alternative private accommodations.
