An American mother dubbed as the “worst ever” has been arrested and charged with sexual assault for allegedly giving birth to a child with her daughter’s 14-year-old school dance partner. Robyn Polston, aged 43, was apprehended by the Washington Police Department on November 3. Legal documents claim that she delivered a baby in January, and the father is believed to be her daughter’s teenage companion.
Polston is facing two charges of criminal sexual assault involving a victim aged between 13 and 17, along with two counts of possessing child pornography. If convicted, she could potentially receive up to 15 years in prison for each offense. She is currently detained without bail and is scheduled for arraignment next month, with no plea entered yet.
Following a tip received after the birth, authorities initiated an investigation. A probable cause affidavit reveals that detectives acquired the baby’s birth certificate on February 13 and noticed that the newborn shared the same middle and last name as the alleged victim.
During questioning about the father’s identity, Polston reportedly claimed it was a man named Brian in his twenties who had not been in contact since the birth. Subsequently, DNA samples were taken from Polston, the infant, and the teenager.
Results indicated that the boy and Polston were indeed the biological parents, as stated in the affidavit. Investigators also discovered that Polston had supervised a school dance attended by the teenager and her daughter in May 2023.
Allegedly, the hairstylist named the newborn with the same middle and last name as the alleged victim. When questioned by authorities, she insisted that the father was a man named Brian in his twenties who had disappeared soon after the birth.
According to the affidavit, the boy temporarily left the area and made brief visits in April and June 2024. The April visit coincided with roughly 40 weeks before Polston gave birth. The boy has since relocated to live with another family in Washington.
A search warrant carried out on Google accounts linked to the teenager’s phone uncovered sexually explicit content involving Polston and the minor. Assistant State’s Attorney Cassandra Mullikin reviewed the material and concluded that Polston was responsible for the images.
Prosecutors alleged that Polston and the minor used burner phones and disguised each other’s numbers under false names to evade detection. Additionally, Polston purportedly attempted to persuade the teenager to conceal evidence of their relationship.
Prosecutors requested her continued custody pending trial, citing concerns about her compliance with orders and potential contact with the teenager. She will remain incarcerated until her court appearance on December 4.
