“Air Arabia Launches Longest Budget Airline Route to Sharjah”

Must read

Budget airlines are known for their no-frills approach to flying, often offering limited space and minimal services. However, travelers are increasingly opting for longer routes on these airlines, such as Air Arabia’s upcoming seven-hour and fifty-minute London Gatwick to Sharjah flight. This route is set to become one of the world’s longest budget airline journeys, providing a cost-effective means to explore the Middle East with Sharjah Airport conveniently located just thirty minutes from Dubai.

Air Arabia’s in-flight experience mirrors that of other budget carriers like easyJet, Jet2, and Ryanair, with single-aisle cabins featuring three seats on each side. Passengers can choose from Basic, Value, or Ultimate packages, with options for extra legroom and meal inclusions. While there are no seatback TVs, travelers can access entertainment through the SkyTime app on their personal devices.

Notably, Air Arabia operates as a dry airline, serving only soft drinks onboard, reflecting the restrictions in Sharjah, where alcohol is not served in public establishments. Despite this, Sharjah offers a range of attractions, including its designation as the “Cultural Capital of the Arab World” by UNESCO. Tourists can explore the Islamic Civilization Museum, relax on sandy beaches overlooking the Persian Gulf, and visit the Sharjah Aquarium and Classic Cars Museum.

Whether choosing to stay in Sharjah or venture to nearby Dubai, visitors will find plenty to explore and experience in this lesser-known emirate of the UAE.
