“Woman Admits to Faking Baby, Deceiving Family”

Must read

A woman has come forward in response to a fake baby scandal that caused a stir on social media, expressing deep remorse for her actions. Kira Cousins, aged 22, is facing allegations of deceiving her family and friends by presenting her plastic Reborn doll as her own child, named Bonnie-Leigh Joyce. It is claimed that she went as far as wearing a fake baby bump for an extended period before fabricating a solitary birth experience.

In a heartfelt statement shared on Tuesday morning and since deleted from her Instagram story, Kira admitted to the deception, confessing, “I wasn’t pregnant. There was no baby. I fabricated everything and let it spiral out of control. I created fake scans, messages, a fictitious birth story, and treated a doll as a real infant. I understand the gravity of my actions – I messed up. I found it difficult to halt once I initiated the charade.”

Offering no excuses for her behavior, Kira acknowledged being in a troubled mental state but acknowledged that it did not justify her deceitful conduct. She expressed regret for the lasting impact on her relationships, acknowledging the likelihood of irreparable damage and the loss of trust from those around her.

Hailing from Airdrie, Scotland, Kira extended her apologies to her loved ones, recognizing their unwavering support throughout the ordeal. She expressed remorse for misleading them and causing emotional distress, particularly at events like the gender reveal, where people showered her with gifts and encouragement. Moreover, she expressed regret for tarnishing the reputation of those mistakenly implicated in her deception.

Addressing the misconception that her doll appeared lifelike, Kira defended those who believed it to be real, citing the doll’s realistic features and interactive capabilities. She clarified that from a distance, the doll could easily be mistaken for a genuine infant, further complicating the situation.

Leading up to the fabricated “birth,” Kira shared fake baby scan images, footage of an elaborate gender reveal celebration, and videos portraying movements in her fake baby bump. She showcased gifts received, including expensive baby items, and detailed fictitious hospital visits, even claiming medical concerns about the supposed baby’s health. A family friend, opting for anonymity, labeled Kira as a chronic liar, revealing a history of deceit spanning a decade.

Reborn dolls, like the one utilized by Kira, are commercially available and range in price from £30 to £2,000, designed to closely resemble real babies.
