As we approach the conclusion of 2025, now is the perfect time to consider planning your sunny vacation for next year, with some popular holiday destinations emerging as the most budget-friendly options.

Whether you envision a well-deserved retreat under the warm Mediterranean sun on a pristine sandy beach or immersing yourself in the vibrant culture of European cities, there are plenty of enticing holiday spots to choose from. To assist you in selecting your next travel destination, experts at Which? have unveiled the ten most affordable places to book a package holiday for the summer of 2026.

In their analysis, they compared the pricing of 5,393 package holidays from Jet2holidays and easyJet Holidays for a seven-night stay, including flights, departing around August 2, with two individuals sharing a room and various board options.

Costa Blanca, situated along the Mediterranean coast of Spain, emerged as the least expensive option for a package holiday next year, offering stunning white-sand beaches and expansive resorts. Known as the White Coast, Costa Blanca features popular resorts like Benidorm, Alicante, and Altea, each with its own unique charm.

For a week-long stay in Costa Blanca during the peak summer season, Which? discovered that the average cost per person for a seven-night package was £864, making it the only destination priced below £900 for a week’s stay in August.

The second most affordable package holiday was found in Tuscany, central Italy, renowned for its picturesque rolling hills, Renaissance art, and cities such as Florence, Siena, and Pisa. A week’s stay in this beautiful Italian region would cost £929 per person, covering flights and accommodation.

In contrast, a stay in the Italian region of Sardinia would amount to around £1,508 per person for the same duration, resulting in a substantial saving of £579 by choosing Tuscany. Tuscany’s affordability is attributed to its wide array of lodging options, ranging from self-catering to bed-and-breakfast, room-only, as well as all-inclusive and full-board packages.

Ranked as the third most economical destination for a summer escape was the breathtaking Agadir coast in Morocco, renowned for its expansive sandy beaches and popularity as a major resort spot. With a variety of accommodation choices along the coast and a focus on beach activities, a stay in Agadir would cost £946 per person.

According to Which?’s research, six of the top ten cheapest holiday destinations for 2026 were in Spain, with Tenerife, Fuerteventura, and Gran Canaria also making the list. Additionally, Zante in Greece, known for its crystal-clear waters, picturesque landscapes, and vibrant nightlife, secured a spot in the top ten.

The following are the most cost-effective package holiday destinations for 2026, as detailed by Which?, showcasing the average price per person for a seven-night package stay.
