Apple has recently unveiled the iPhone 17e, a new smartphone that offers significant enhancements at an attractive price point. Priced at £599, the device features a speedy A19 processor, MagSafe charging, durable construction, and an impressive single-lens camera. This cost is £200 lower than Apple’s flagship iPhone model.
In a similar move, Samsung has confirmed the release of its latest models, the A57 and A37, starting from £399. While these Samsung phones may not match the performance and charging capabilities of the iPhone 17e, they boast a 6.7-inch screen with advanced 120Hz technology, surpassing the 17e’s 60Hz screen in terms of smoothness during various tasks like browsing, emailing, and gaming.
The Galaxy phones from Samsung also offer features such as large 5,000mAh batteries, triple lens cameras, and a design that is water and dust resistant with a P68 rating.
For tech enthusiasts, Samsung’s new devices are packed with smart features. Both the Galaxy A37 and A57 support Google’s Circle to Search feature for quick web searches and provide enhanced photo editing tools like Object Eraser, Best Face, and Edit Suggestions for easy photo adjustments and sharing.
A notable addition is the improved Voice Transcription feature within the Voice Recorder app, allowing users to transcribe or translate call recordings and convert voicemail into text, facilitating easy access to important information from meetings or conversations.
Samsung also assures long-term support for its devices, with the Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G set to receive up to six generations of Android OS and One UI updates, along with six years of security patches.
Both models will be available for purchase on Samsung.com starting April 10th, with the Galaxy A57 5G priced from £529 for the 256GB variant and the Galaxy A37 5G starting at £399 for the 128GB model.
The Galaxy A57 5G will be offered in colors like Awesome Navy, Awesome Grey, Awesome Icyblue, and Awesome Lilac, while the Galaxy A37 5G will come in options like Awesome Lavender, Awesome Charcoal, Awesome Greygreen, and Awesome White.
Annika Bizon, VP of Product and Marketing at Samsung Mobile Experience (MX) Division, emphasized the importance of making AI accessible to more users, highlighting the practical benefits of AI in everyday performance delivered by the Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G.
