White House Denies Trump’s Knowledge of Epstein Activities

Must read

The White House has strongly responded to allegations from recently disclosed Jeffrey Epstein emails suggesting that Donald Trump had knowledge of and spent time with one of the victims of the convicted sex offender. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt issued a forceful statement accusing House Democrats of selectively leaking private emails to create a false and malicious portrayal of the president. She labeled the claims as a politically motivated smear campaign.

Leavitt stated, “The Democrats leaked emails to the liberal media to fabricate a false narrative against President Trump. The ‘unnamed victim’ mentioned in the emails is Virginia Giuffre, who explicitly stated that Trump had no involvement in any misconduct and was friendly in their brief encounters.”

These remarks followed the release of excerpts from Epstein’s emails by the House Oversight Committee, led by Democrats, spanning from 2011 to 2019. In these emails, Epstein implied that Trump was aware of his activities with underage girls, a claim dismissed by the White House as a desperate distraction.

Leavitt emphasized, “President Trump banned Jeffrey Epstein from his club years ago due to inappropriate behavior towards female staff, including Giuffre.”

Regarding the administration’s stance on the matter, it is the most direct denial of the incendiary claims found in the documents. Democrats argue that the emails raise serious concerns about Trump’s ties to Epstein and question why the president did not release the so-called Epstein files during his first term.

Representative Robert Garcia, the ranking Democrat on the committee, highlighted the emails’ troubling connections and accused the White House of impeding transparency. Republicans countered by accusing Democrats of orchestrating a political maneuver.

While the alleged victim’s name was redacted in the material provided by Democrats, Leavitt affirmed that the reference was clearly to Giuffre, who later accused Prince Andrew of sexual misconduct, which he has consistently denied.

Epstein and Trump were known to socialize in Palm Beach during the 1990s and early 2000s. Trump has reiterated that their friendship ended long before Epstein’s 2008 conviction, stating he was not a supporter of Epstein.

Epstein died in 2019 while in prison awaiting trial on federal sex-trafficking charges, officially ruled as suicide. His demise and the ensuing conspiracy theories continue to fuel political discussions in Washington.

Democrats argue that the newly disclosed emails justify their ongoing probe into Epstein’s connections with political figures, while the White House claims the timing of the release, coinciding with efforts to end the government shutdown, is not coincidental.

“It’s all political drama,” a senior aide told the Mirror. “The president has nothing to hide, and the American people can see through this baseless attempt to tarnish him.”
