“Beauty Bay Considers Sale Amid Financial Review”

Must read

A well-known online beauty retailer is potentially up for sale as reports indicate that advisors have been appointed to assess the company’s future. Beauty Bay, established in 1999 by siblings Arron and David Gabbie in Manchester, offers a wide array of products from over 200 brands, including popular names like Ariana Grande, Clinique, MAC, and their own product line.

According to a recent update from Sky News, Beauty Bay is considering various options to secure new funding, with the possibility of a complete sale of the business. Interpath, an advisory firm, is reportedly collaborating with Beauty Bay on this matter. The company currently has a workforce of 65 employees, and inquiries have been made to obtain a statement from Beauty Bay.

In related news, Malin + Goetz, another beauty brand, recently entered administration, leading to the closure of its seven stores in London. This move is anticipated to affect more than 70 jobs, with online orders temporarily suspended. Customers can still purchase Malin + Goetz products through third-party retailers like Liberty, John Lewis, and Space NK.

The decision to place the UK business of Malin + Goetz into administration was made after a thorough review of the company’s operations and considering all available options. The closure of UK stores and the head office was deemed necessary despite the regrettable impact on employees and customers, leading to job losses.

Malin + Goetz is expected to relaunch its website after a brief maintenance period, although the exact duration is unspecified. Originating in New York in 2004 by Matthew Malin and Andrew Goetz, the brand initially offered six products suitable for all skin types before expanding into fragrance, body care, and additional beauty categories.
