Four fortunate Premium Bonds savers have each won £100,000 prizes by purchasing their winning bonds in December. These bonds were qualified for the February 2026 draw onwards, requiring ownership for a full month to be eligible. One of the £100,000 winners bought a £50 bond in December 2025.
Residing in Essex, they collectively hold £19,150 in Premium Bonds. The second winner, located in Brighton and Hove, holds £38,025 in total, with their winning bond valued at £13,000. The remaining two £100,000 winners each possess £50,000 in Premium Bonds, with one residing in Cheshire and the other in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
Every month, two £1 million Premium Bond prizes are awarded. In the February 2026 draw, one of the major winners is based in Liverpool, while the other is in Central Bedfordshire.
Premium Bonds, a savings product by National Savings & Investment (NS&I), offer a unique approach by entering holders into a monthly prize draw instead of providing a fixed interest rate. Prize amounts range from £25 to £1 million, with more smaller prizes distributed compared to the larger sums.
With odds of 22,000 to 1 for every £1 bond to win a monthly prize, recipients are notified via email or text message by NS&I. Winners can opt to receive the prize in their bank account or reinvest it into Premium Bonds. The current prize fund rate, equivalent to an interest rate for Premium Bonds, stands at 3.60% since the August 2025 draw.
Recent data shared with This is Money revealed the top locations for winning Premium Bond prizes. In 2025, 42 individuals from Hampshire and the Isle of Wight secured the second-largest prize of £100,000. Other lucky areas included Essex, Outer London, Norwich, and Cumbria, where significant prizes were won.
