Lenovo has introduced a strong contender in the tablet market with the launch of its Tab Plus Gen 2, challenging the dominance of Apple’s iPad. The device boasts a 12.1-inch 2.5K LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and vibrant Dolby Vision visuals, providing a familiar yet impressive front view.
What sets the Tab Plus Gen 2 apart is its unique design feature—a large circular speaker powered by JBL technology, replacing the typical metal casing. This speaker not only enhances audio for entertainment like movies and gaming but also doubles as a Bluetooth speaker, with support for immersive Dolby Atmos sound. Additionally, the tablet includes a convenient built-in kickstand that can rotate 360 degrees, allowing for versatile landscape and portrait viewing modes and even serving as a carry handle for enhanced portability.
Under the hood, the Tab Plus Gen 2 is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor and houses a sizable 10,200mAh battery with fast charging capabilities. It offers 128GB of storage, expandable via an SD Card slot for additional space. Priced at £369 on Lenovo’s website, the tablet presents a competitive alternative to Apple’s iPad lineup, with the base iPad starting at £429 and the upgraded Air model at £749.
