Freeview has announced significant changes to its TV guide, including a channel closure and several relocations. Talk (Ch 280), a British news channel known for debate and opinion-led journalism, will no longer be accessible on Freeview. Viewers can now access this service through the official Talk app or other platforms like Samsung TVs, Roku devices, and LG screens.
In addition to the channel closure, Freeview’s latest update reveals that Wedotv Big Stories on channel 275 will be rebranded as Wedotv. Furthermore, three services will be relocated on the planner: Ketchup TV will move from Ch 209 to Ch 208, Ketchup Too from Ch 210 to Ch 209, and Cartoon Classics from Ch 214 to Ch 210.
Freeview stated, “On 25th June 2026 some broadcasters are making changes to their channels,” emphasizing the evolving nature of channels on Freeview. To ensure access to all channels, users are advised to go to their TV settings and retune to keep their TV guide up to date. The retuning process involves selecting options like ‘set-up’ or ‘installation’ on the remote control, initiating a full retune, and saving the found channels if prompted.
