“Tragic Bus Crash in Hungary Claims 12 Polish Lives”

A tragic incident occurred in Hungary as a passenger bus carrying Polish tourists veered off the road and flipped over into a ditch on the M3 motorway near Mezokeresztes. The accident, caused by the bus driver potentially falling asleep, resulted in the death of 12 individuals with several others sustaining injuries.

The bus, transporting 57 passengers and two drivers, was returning from a pilgrimage in Bosnia-Herzegovina when the mishap took place. Hungarian authorities reported that some passengers were trapped under the overturned vehicle. All occupants on board were confirmed to be Polish citizens, as stated by a spokesperson from the Polish Foreign Ministry.

Following the incident, Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar mentioned that around 10 individuals suffered severe injuries. He expressed his condolences to the victims’ families and appreciated the efforts of the rescue teams who swiftly responded to the scene. Polish President Karol Nawrocki also conveyed his deep sympathy and prayers for the affected families in the aftermath of the tragic bus crash.
