Lauren Goodger has fueled even more speculation she is back with her ex Charles Drury. The Only Way Is Essex star admitted she was feeling “so lonely” before she was spotted with Charles earlier this week.
They have now been seen together again, with fans guessing over the status of their relationship. Lauren and Charles co-parent their daughter Larose, but things haven’t been easy. The on-off pair welcomed their daughter in July 2021 and three months later Lauren fell pregnant with their second daughter, Lorena.
She gave birth to her baby in July 2022, but tragically, the infant lost her life after being born with her umbilical cord wrapped around her neck. On the day of Lorena’s funeral, Charles was accused of attacking Lauren and they split shortly after.
The couple were also plagued by cheating rumours during their on-off relationship, yet this week joined in a TikTok Live video with co-stars Junaid Ahmed and Joe Blackman as they all chatted to each other. It marked the first time they had been seen together in over a year despite being in separate homes.
Now, the pair have been spotted together in person. Lauren and Charles appeared in high spirits as they enjoyed a meal with Junaid and Joe. They posed in the same photo with their daughter Larose as they tucked into food together.
Lauren and Charles looked like a couple again, as they sparked rumours their romance is back on. Charles shared a snap of him with their daughter, which Lauren commented on by writing: “What beautiful photos!”
Their reunion comes just days after Lauren revealed she was feeling lonely. Whilst she is grateful to have her “little best friend” in Larose, she said she struggled without having someone to lean on.
“I haven’t got anyone to lean on and that’s really sad. I don’t have a great relationship with my family… I am really lonely because I do deal with everyone on my own,” she told the Daily Mail.
Last year, Lauren opened up on co-parenting with Charles and revealed how they had developed a new parenting-based friendship. The reality star said both are committed to raising Larose together – even though they no longer live together, or in the same city.
Lauren explained: “It has not been easy, but we’re at a place at the minute where it is running smoothly. Charles sees Larose very regularly. It’s a lot of travelling for me because he lives 3.5 hours away, and I meet him in the middle. It’s not ideal but it is what it is.”
Explaining their relationship status further, Lauren added to MailOnline: “We’re at a good place at the minute. We’re friends. We’re making it work because the priority is Larose.
“She sees us both equally, and that’s what I don’t want to change. Regardless of the situation of our relationship, I would never stop her seeing her dad.”
The TV star has credited her daughter, Larose, for helping her through her grief while processing the death of Lorena. Speaking to OK! magazine, Lauren: “After going through something like that, it isn’t just a straight situation of it’s bad and then it gets better – it comes in waves. In the beginning I was in shock. It took me a long time to really register what had happened.
“My body and my brain just couldn’t handle so much shock and trauma in one go so it sort of shut down to protect me. I’ll be completely honest, the reason I got through it all is because of Larose.
“She has kept me going and without her I probably wouldn’t be here. I’m in therapy and we’re working through it – I’m slowly healing.”
