Mel B has shared a picture s Madison, 13, her daughter with ex husband Stephen Belafonte. s in a rare sighting of the whole family, with the Spice Girl posting the snap to her 1.7M Instagram followers and writing: “All my baby’s”.
The Leeds-born singer, known as Scary Spice, cuddled up with Phoenix, 26, from her first marriage with dancer Jimmy Gulzar, Angel, 17, who’s father is actor Eddie Murphy, and Madison, 13, her daughter with ex husband Stephen Belafonte.
Donning her signature animal print in a cosy pyjama set, Mel sat on eldest Phoenix’s lap while Angel and Madison stood behind them while posing in the garden.
Mel, 49, is currently in Pasadena, California filming for the new series of America’s Got Talent, alongside long-time pal Simon Cowell. She is back on the show after a five-year absence and joins fellow judges Sofia Vergara and Howie Mandel, as well as Simon.
Mel relocated from the US to the UK after the breakdown of her marriage to Stephen in 2017. The couple were married for around ten years, with Mel accusing him of domestic abuse since the split, which he denies.
Before the relationship, Mel was married to Jimmy from 1998 until their divorce finalised in 2000, she later had a short-lived relationship with Eddie in 2006. She has since found love again with hairdresser and family friend Rory McPhee, 37. The pair got engaged in 2022.
While Mel’s younger children, Angel and Madison, mostly keep away from the public eye, her eldest Phoenix appears to be following in Mel’s footsteps with a career in showbusiness. Back in 2022, Phoenix joined stars such as Christine McGuinness and Max George in ITV show The Games, which she placed third in.
Last year, it was reported that Phoenix will also join her mum on the next season of Celebrity Gogglebox, while the 26-year-old is an aspiring DJ and has dipped her toe in the world of modelling and influencing.
Mel’s family post comes after she claimed in her book last year that a Spice Girls anniversary live reunion was ‘imminent’. In later added chapters to her autobiography, the singer and author ended the book on a positive note having come out of the other side of a troubled marriage and now having her life back on track.
Mel says: “I am getting better. The therapy is working. I am working on it. Someday soon I do believe things will improve. The Spice Girls will all be out there, all five of us together again – yes, I’m saying it, it will happen.”
Discussing the Spice Girls in more details, Mel – dubbed Scary Spice – lifted the lid on the outrageous backstage demands she and her Spice Girls pals made on their last reunion tour in 2019. She says: “There are rows, yes. There are nightmare moments. There is always lots of stress.”
