Police hunt man terrorising doorbell cameras and ‘exposing himself on driveways’

Must read

A man who pulled down his trousers and indecently exposed himself on multiple driveways is being sought by police.

Several neighbours in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, fell victim to the vile brute, with a number of incidents reported in the early hours of Saturday morning. One resident, whose home was among those targeted, said they first noticed what had happened when they saw the footage captured by their doorbell camera the next day.

The incident had taken place outside their home at around 4.20am on Saturday, while residents were asleep in their beds.

The resident told Manchester Evening News : “My partner found the images on our Ring doorbell on the Saturday morning and we then asked the neighbours to check their cameras. We reported it immediately as it was so disturbing.”

In one video, which has been circulating on social media, the man is seen looking around as he walks on the pavement, before sitting on the driveway of a house.

He lowers his trousers as he sits on the ground, before apparently fondling himself in front of the doorbell camera for a few seconds.

The man then raises his trousers as he stands back up and leaves the property. It is understood the suspect was seen exposing himself on as many as five driveways in the area early on Saturday morning.

Another person said: “I saw the videos and they were very distressing to say the least. He needs to be taken off the streets ASAP before anything else happens.”

One more said: “You can all sit there laughing and joking but I’m pretty sure you wouldn’t be laughing if it was your child playing in the park or attending the school opposite where he was doing this. He’s dangerous, they need to find him.”

The incidents have been reported to Greater Manchester Police.

GMP confirmed it is looking into the matter and witnesses are being urged to come forward.

A police spokesperson said: “An investigation into exposure on Coronation Avenue in Heywood, Rochdale, from Saturday, March 29 2025 is ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time, but anyone with additional information is asked to call 101 quoting incident 834 of March 29, 2025.”
