Must read

Last night, Russia unleashed over 650 drones and fired fifty missiles into Ukraine, causing extensive damage and widespread power outages. The attacks resulted in two fatalities in Zaporizhzhia and left at least 17 people seriously injured, including six children. The assaults coincided with mounting pressure from the US to halt the ongoing conflict.

Communities near the Polish border experienced strikes, prompting Polish fighter jets to be deployed as a precaution. The aggressive offensive involved various weapons, including Kinzhal air-launched missiles, ballistic explosives, Kh-101 cruise missiles, and Shahed drones designed for suicide missions.

Throughout Ukraine, air raid alerts sounded, triggering defensive measures in nearly all regions. The attacks led to casualties, destroyed buildings, infrastructure damage, and fires. While the capital city Kyiv was targeted by drones, there were no reported fatalities, indicating a focus on disrupting civilian access to essential services.

Zaporizhzhia bore the brunt of sustained attacks, enduring multiple drone strikes and missile bombardments that razed an entire apartment complex. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky acknowledged the impact, stating that despite some interceptions, significant damage was inflicted.

In Dnipro, ballistic missiles struck overnight, with 22 drones intercepted in the Dnipropetrovsk area. Regions further west of the conflict zone were unexpectedly targeted in the onslaught.

Explosions rocked Ivano-Frankivsk as cruise missiles struck the area, leading to power outages confirmed by Mayor Ruslan Martsinkiv, who emphasized the vulnerability of the country’s energy infrastructure.

In the Mykolaiv region, shelling resulted in extensive power outages and disrupted railway services, while Russian forces attacked energy facilities in the Lviv region, near the Polish border.

Ladyzhyn in the Vinnytsia region was left without essential services following the airstrikes, prompting authorities to prepare alternative heating and water supply arrangements.

Poland’s air force swiftly responded to the attack, dispatching fighter jets and early warning aircraft to monitor the situation. The country’s military forces were placed on high alert, with air defense systems prepared for any potential threats.

The ongoing conflict in Ukraine has escalated dramatically, with neighboring countries closely monitoring the situation and preparing for any further developments.
