Ryanair’s Mega Seat Sale: Discounted Fares to Canary Islands

Must read

Budget carrier Ryanair has introduced its largest seat sale ever, offering 10 million discounted fares. The sale features numerous summer deals, perfect for winter sun enthusiasts looking to escape the dreary January weather. Currently, there are attractive prices for flights to the Canary Islands.

The Canary Islands are a popular choice for Brits in January due to their warm temperatures, with forecasts reaching as high as 22°C next week. Among the Canary Islands, Tenerife is typically the warmest, and Ryanair operates flights to Tenerife South from various UK airports. London Stansted offers one-way fares starting at £24.9 to Tenerife South for several dates in January, with midweek flights slightly cheaper than weekends.

Costa Adeje in Tenerife’s south is a well-liked resort area, bustling with bars, eateries, and shops. The region boasts golden sandy beaches like Playa del Duque, where visitors can bask in up to seven hours of sunshine daily in January.

Apart from London airports, other UK cities also enjoy the benefit of affordable fares. Liverpool and Manchester offer deals starting at £24.99, while Edinburgh flights to Tenerife begin at £25.99 one-way. Flight durations from London airports start at four hours and 30 minutes, making it quick to reach the sunny destination.

Gran Canaria, with a climate similar to Tenerife, is expected to reach around 20°C in January, although some stormy weather is anticipated at the beginning of the week. Flights from Bristol to Gran Canaria are currently priced from £25.81 one way, and London Luton Airport offers fares starting at £24.99 for trips to the island.

Lanzarote is another favored spot for winter sun seekers, with daytime highs of 21°C predicted for the following week. Travelers can find one-way fares starting at £24.99 from London Stansted, Bournemouth, Manchester, and other regional airports.

The south and east coasts of Lanzarote are popular due to their proximity to the airport and milder climate. Playa Blanca, known for its long sandy beach and tranquil waters, is an excellent choice for a January retreat, offering an upscale marina area with dining options and shopping facilities.

Fuerteventura, the least visited of the major Canary Islands, still boasts stunning natural beauty similar to its counterparts. With temperatures reaching up to 20°C in early January and six to seven hours of sunlight daily, the island is accessible from London Stansted, Newcastle, and Leeds Bradford airports at affordable fares.

Known for its arid landscape and flat terrain, Fuerteventura features breathtaking desert scenery and white sand beaches. Visitors can explore large national parks and the vibrant town of Corralejo, which offers boat trips to neighboring islands and snorkeling opportunities.

Note that prices are subject to availability and may fluctuate.
