An evil and twisted paedophile father has confessed to raping and murdering his newborn baby and in a sickening twist revealed one of the reasons why he carried out the heinous act. The monster raped her whilst they were home alone as the baby’s mother went out to buy nappies and admitted that he knew she could die, but didn’t care.
The innocent newborn, who was just a mere one week old, was brutally killed at the hands of Hugo Ferreira, 37, from Welverdiend, South Africa. In a stomach-churning confession he said he wanted to “give her something to cry about”, before later threatening to kill the baby’s mother.
On June 8, 2023, the victim’s mother, Maureen Brand, had simply popped out from their home to run some errands and grab more nappies for her daughter when the hideous rapist made his move. The Pretoria High Court heard that she returned home to her daughter suffering severe injuries.
The tiny newborn was raced to hospital, but tragically died from head injuries after Ferreira “pushed her head against” a surface.
In a pathetic attempt to justify his vile actions, he provided the court with a pathetic excuse for the crime, saying he was “unhappy” because new mum Brand had left him at home with the baby.
More details revealed the mum Brand had left home briefly to sell clothes as well as purchasing baby supplies, telling Ferreira that she’d only be around five minutes. However, she took longer than intended, making Ferreira angry because his daughter’s nappy needed changing.
In horrific detail, he recalled the devastating moment when he decided to rape the precious child and said: “I grabbed the baby hard and in the process, I pushed her head against the surface on which I was working.
“I accept that it was a cruel and gruesome attack, especially on such a young baby. The action was clearly illegal and I did it with intent.”
News24 also reported that he violently raped her after becoming more frustrated by her cries and that the monstrous, twisted paedophile said that he attempted to hide his daughter once her mother had returned.
“When her mother returned, I realised she would see that something was wrong,” he said. “I kept the baby away from her until later in the day. I did this because I realised the baby was seriously injured.”
Horrifyingly, Ferreira admitted that he was aware that his daughter could die and that what he had done was incomprehensible.
However, he wasn’t ready to stop the attack. He claimed that he had taken methamphetamine, but further explained that it didn’t influence him in his decisions.
Methamphetamine, also known as ‘meth’, can cause psychosis in high doses, violent behaviour, mood swings and an increased sexual desire.
He is set to be sentenced next week.
