“Suspicious Package at US Air Base in Maryland Prompts Lockdown”

Several individuals at the US military base located in Maryland, which serves as the residence for Air Force One, have become unwell following the delivery of a suspicious package to the premises, as per various media accounts.

An edifice within Joint Base Andrews was evacuated subsequent to an individual opening the package and discovering white powder, according to sources cited by CNN. The parcel purportedly contained political “propaganda” as well.

First responders promptly arrived at the scene and confirmed no immediate danger. However, base officials have initiated an investigation, leading the site to be placed on lockdown as a precautionary measure.

The symptoms experienced by the affected individuals at the airbase have not been disclosed yet. The package arrived just a day after Donald Trump’s visit to the base.

The US president commonly commutes from The White House to the military base via the Marine One helicopter before embarking on Air Force One for international journeys.

In addition to being the headquarters for Air Force One, the base is also home to the C-130 Hercules aircraft, utilized for cargo operations, and the KC-135R Stratotanker for refueling missions.
