“UK Deports Man Who Returned Illegally by Boat”

Must read

A man who returned to the UK via a small boat after being deported previously has been deported once again, as confirmed by the Home Office. He was initially removed on September 19 and managed to re-enter the country on October 18 before being deported today.

Under the ‘one in one out’ agreement between the UK and France, a total of 94 individuals have been sent back to France. According to Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood, attempting to re-enter the UK after being deported under this agreement is futile and costly. The man in question was swiftly identified through biometrics, detained, and promptly sent back.

The individual expressed to The Guardian his reasons for returning to the UK, citing safety concerns in France and the dangers posed by human traffickers. He described being threatened with violence and feeling unsafe in a shelter in Paris. The new agreement allows for the detention and return of individuals arriving in the UK by small boats, with an equal number of legitimate asylum seekers being sent back to France.

This initiative aims to deter individuals from risking their lives and finances by relying on human traffickers. The UK government intends to increase the number of deportations under this agreement to strengthen border security and discourage illegal migration.
