Must read

Wizz Air has announced the addition of six new routes from London Luton Airport, with one of them going to Chania in Crete. The city boasts a historic Venetian harbor, narrow streets, and waterfront dining options. Chania’s forecasted temperature this week is a pleasant 19C, providing a stark contrast to the UK weather.

Travel writer Brian Dillon shared his positive experience in Chania, highlighting the city’s authentic Greek charm and exceptional cuisine. Wizz Air will start operating flights to Chania and other Greek destinations like Mykonos, Rhodes, and Zakynthos from London Luton Airport next spring. The airline will also introduce routes to Bordeaux and Dortmund.

Flights to Mykonos will run three times a week, while the other Greek destinations will have flights twice a week. The new routes to Greece are scheduled to start on May 13, 2026, just in time for the summer season, with fares starting at £44.99. Tickets are available for purchase on the Wizz Air website and mobile app.

These new routes mark Wizz Air’s continued expansion at London Luton Airport, where they have added a 14th aircraft to their fleet. Yvonne Moynihan, managing director at Wizz Air UK, expressed excitement about the new routes, emphasizing the airline’s commitment to making dream holidays affordable and accessible for their customers.
