The passing of a cherished grandfather in a tragic three-vehicle collision on the M60 has deeply affected his loved ones, who remember him for his youthful zest for life. Authorities are seeking information regarding the incident.

David Shepherd, a 59-year-old motorcyclist, lost his life on October 12 after a crash involving two cars and a motorcycle occurred on the M60 clockwise carriageway, near Salford, between junctions 15 and 16. Two drivers were apprehended by Greater Manchester Police on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving in relation to the collision and have been released on bail pending further investigation.

In a poignant statement following his sudden demise, Mr. Shepherd’s family paid tribute to him, describing him as a father, grandfather, brother, partner, and friend who exuded a youthful charm and positivity, bringing joy to those around him every day. His memory will forever live on in their hearts.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police confirmed that an investigation into the incident is ongoing and urged the public to provide any relevant information. The spokesperson emphasized that two individuals were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and have been bailed as inquiries continue.

The collision on October 23 resulted in significant traffic delays on the M60, with extensive queues of vehicles forming after the incident occurred just past 6pm.
