“Criminal Threatens Baby with Glass in Belfast Carjacking”

Must read

In Belfast city center during the early hours of the morning, a criminal wielded a piece of shattered glass threateningly towards a baby’s head in a carjacking incident. The child was seated in the back of the vehicle with its mother while the father, who was driving, stepped out to make a delivery around 3.50 am.

Two individuals approached the car on foot, with one entering the driver’s seat and driving off with the woman and child still inside. Shortly after, the perpetrator turned and menaced the young baby with what appeared to be a broken bottle or glass fragment.

The woman was instructed to leave the vehicle along with the baby after the criminal’s threats, following which he fled the scene. The abandoned car was later discovered on a nearby residential street, approximately a mile away from the initial carjacking site.

Authorities have labeled the incident as “absolutely shocking” and “extremely distressing,” appealing for any information or witnesses to come forward. Detective Sergeant McVeagh reported the delivery driver’s account of the events, emphasizing the traumatic nature of the ordeal for the victims who thankfully escaped physical harm. Ongoing investigations are being conducted to apprehend the perpetrators.
