The store is set to shut down in April, although the exact closing date has not been specified. The news was shared through a social media post by the store.
Customers who have been loyal to Clarkes of Sussex expressed their sorrow over the closure. One shopper fondly stated, “You will be greatly missed. Visiting your shop has always been a delight.” Another customer remarked, “This is truly unfortunate news.” A third individual shared, “I have been a patron of your store for many years, and your team has always been supportive, respectful, and kind.” Additionally, another customer expressed, “I am deeply saddened by this news – your store is fantastic, and your staff are wonderful.”

As the chapter of Clarkes of Sussex comes to a close, Patel emphasized that the memories, relationships, and bonds formed with the community will always hold a special place.
