The future of Freeview appears uncertain as more households are transitioning to streaming services, potentially leading to a significant decline in traditional aerial usage. Adding to the challenges, a new competitor has emerged offering a variety of viewing options.
The Manhattan Aero 4K TV Streamer, which operates on the Freely platform, enables users to access live content online rather than through conventional aerial signals. This user-friendly device quickly gained popularity upon its recent release, selling out shortly after hitting stores. However, Manhattan has restocked the Aero to meet the high demand it has generated.
In a significant development, the Aero now includes HBO Max as part of its content offerings. HBO Max combines content from various entities like HBO, Max Originals, Warner Bros., and DC Comics into a single application.
HBO Max features popular TV shows such as The Last of Us, House of the Dragon, and Succession, along with blockbuster movies like the Harry Potter series and Batman franchise. While HBO Max enhances the Aero’s entertainment selection, users must subscribe separately to access the service, starting at £4.99 per month.
For budget-conscious viewers, the Aero continues to provide a wide range of free content through Freely, including over 50 live TV channels, on-demand shows, voice search, personalized recommendations, a comprehensive TV guide, and the ability to pause live broadcasts.
Manhattan’s COO, Alex Arbab-Zadeh, expressed confidence in meeting the demand for the Aero and highlighted the value brought by HBO Max and future app additions. The Manhattan Aero 4K TV Streamer with Freely is currently available for £89.99 at retailers like Currys, Argos, and John Lewis.
