“Infamous Nurse Lucy Letby’s Life behind Bars: Come Dine With Me and Maltesers”

Must read

In her cell at HMP Bronzefield in Surrey, Lucy Letby, the former nurse convicted of murdering seven infants and attempting to murder seven others at the NHS Countess of Chester Hospital, is reportedly engrossed in watching the reality TV show, Come Dine With Me, and stockpiling packets of Maltesers.

Letby, 35, is currently serving multiple life sentences and is assigned to Unit Four, a section designated for ‘enhanced inmates’ who receive special privileges for good behavior, such as increased visits, a personal TV in the cell, and the allowance to wear some of their own attire.

According to an insider within the prison, Letby is described as a model prisoner engaging in various activities like unit cleaning, workshops, and education. The source revealed that Letby’s favorite pastime is watching Come Dine With Me marathons, and she eagerly awaits these moments, requesting to return to her cell during the show.

Additionally, Letby is said to stash Maltesers and Minstrels in her cell, purchasing them with cash sent by friends and family. Reports suggest that Letby was promoted to enhanced status out of concern for her safety from potential attacks by other inmates.

Despite committing heinous crimes, Letby is portrayed as reserved and unproblematic with staff members. However, it is noted that her presence on the enhanced unit can be unsettling for officers given the severity of her offenses. Letby was sentenced to 15 life terms in August 2023 at Manchester Crown Court, becoming only the fourth woman in British history to receive a whole life order, ensuring she will remain incarcerated indefinitely. Two appeals against her sentences have been unsuccessful, with a recent challenge of a miscarriage of justice claim.
