“Angelina Jolie’s Driver Forced into Ukraine Conflict”

Must read

A driver-bodyguard for Angelina Jolie revealed that he has been compelled to participate in the conflict in Ukraine after being detained while accompanying the film star on a tour. Dmytro Pyshchikov, 33, was unexpectedly stopped at a checkpoint during Jolie’s visit to the war-torn country on November 5. Despite claiming exemption from military service due to a spinal condition, Pyshchikov has now disclosed that he has been dispatched to a military training center before deployment to the front line.

Jolie was in Ukraine with the Legacy of War Foundation, a UK-based charity established by Giles Duley, a 54-year-old photographer and triple amputee. The Ukrainian ground forces confirmed Pyshchikov’s role as Jolie’s driver during the trip, emphasizing that neither Jolie nor her team interfered with military or civil operations. Pyshchikov, speaking after his release from the Territorial Recruitment Centre, stated his intention to undergo training and serve in the army.

Following his release, Pyshchikov reassured concerned followers in a video message, stating that he had not encountered any serious issues and urging them not to panic. Ukraine’s recruitment efforts have intensified due to Russian aggression, with Pyshchikov expressing frustration over his exemption being disregarded.

During her visit, Jolie commended the resilience of the people in Mykolaiv and Kherson facing daily dangers. She highlighted their determination for safety, peace, and rebuilding amidst ongoing conflict. As she departed, Ukrainian border guards thanked Jolie for her support, presenting her with national symbols and the emblem of the State Border Guard Service as a gesture of appreciation.
