Hailing from Charlotte, North Carolina, Pistone was the grandson of the renowned driver ‘Tiger’ Tom Pistone, who achieved two victories in the NASCAR Cup Series. Throughout his career, Chase excelled in various racing categories, clinching over 80 feature wins, including multiple Summer Shootout Champions Legends titles.
His NASCAR journey began in 2005 in the Craftsman Truck Series with Green Light Racing, participating in a total of 10 races across the national series. In 2014, Pistone concluded his time in NASCAR. His sister-in-law, Phaedra, urged Hickory Motor Speedway to commemorate Chase’s legacy during their upcoming race, citing his profound connection to the venue and the racing community.
Responding to the request, Hickory Motor Speedway pledged to honor Pistone’s memory before the race on Saturday night as per the family’s wishes. Kevin Piercy, the Speedway’s general manager, fondly remembered Chase as a cheerful presence and expressed gratitude for their shared passion for racing.
