Dollyfest, originally planned to coincide with Dolly Parton’s 80th birthday, will proceed in 2027 as a tribute to the iconic singer after her recent passing. The festival, which was postponed last year due to health concerns, will now be a star-studded event taking place in Nashville and London over two weekends.
The estate of the “Queen of Country” announced the festival will be a celebration of Dolly Parton’s life and legacy, promising an unforgettable experience for fans worldwide. Details about the specific dates and lineup of musical acts are yet to be revealed.
Organizer Danny Nozell stated that Dollyfest aims to honor Parton’s vision and provide a platform for artists and fans to come together in remembrance and unity. The festival holds special significance in Nashville, where Parton resided, and London, a city she frequented during her illustrious career.
In addition to Dollyfest, various tributes are being planned to commemorate Dolly Parton’s profound impact, including initiatives at Dollywood theme park. Guests visiting the park in 2027 will have the opportunity to share their memories and reflections on Parton’s influence through interactive kiosks in Wildwood Grove.
Furthermore, Dollywood is introducing new features inspired by Parton, such as a waterfall near the Robert F. Thomas Chapel and a park character based on her Imagination Library initiative. The park is also considering preserving the memorial wall outside as a lasting tribute to the beloved singer.
Sevierville, Parton’s hometown, is launching “In Dolly’s Footsteps,” a project in collaboration with Dollywood that will highlight significant locations in Parton’s life story, including the Pines Theatre where she began her musical journey at a young age.
