Apple has introduced AppleCare One in the UK, expanding its service offering to British customers with multiple Apple devices. The subscription, priced at £16.99 per month, covers up to three eligible devices such as iPhones, iPads, Macs, and Apple Watches. In case of accidental damage, loss, or theft, Apple will repair the device or provide up to three replacements per year based on the claim type.
This new service enhances the existing AppleCare+ by allowing customers to protect multiple products under a single subscription, offering potential cost savings. Apple estimates that individuals covering an iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch could save up to £11.48 per month compared to purchasing separate AppleCare+ plans for each device.
An advantage of AppleCare One is the flexibility to add eligible devices up to four years old to the plan, as long as they are in good condition. This extended coverage period surpasses the usual 60-day window for acquiring AppleCare+ after device purchase.
Moreover, the subscription adapts seamlessly to device upgrades. If a covered device is traded in for a new one directly from Apple, the old device is automatically removed from the plan, and the new device is added without additional complexity.
Apple emphasizes the convenience and peace of mind provided by AppleCare One, simplifying the protection process for customers. Bob Borchers, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing, highlighted the enhanced user experience and flexibility that AppleCare One offers in ensuring all eligible products can be covered under one plan and price structure.
