“Royal Retreat Rescinded Amid Threats: Aristocrat Withdraws Prince Andrew’s Invitation”

Must read

A woman who refers to herself as an aristocrat has rescinded her invitation to Prince Andrew citing threats of violence as the reason. Lady Carbisdale, who is a barrister and businesswoman, has been the owner of the 19-bedroom Carbisdale Castle since 2022. She had initially publicly offered her estate as a potential accommodation for Prince Andrew amidst reports of his exile to a smaller royal Highland castle following allegations linked to Jeffrey Epstein.

However, due to a negative and hostile public response, Ms. Kane has retracted her offer but has stated that the venue remains available for the royal family if the need arises in the future. In a Facebook post, Ms. Kane mentioned that she had written to King Charles III and Prince Andrew, updating them on the progress of the restoration at Carbisdale Castle. She also highlighted the public’s disapproving views towards her offer, with some expressing hostility and even threats of violence.

Prince Andrew had announced on October 17 his decision to relinquish his royal titles just days before the release of Virginia Giuffre’s memoir, his accuser. The prince has consistently denied the allegations and reached an out-of-court settlement in 2022 without admitting any guilt. In his statement, Prince Andrew expressed that ongoing accusations against him were distracting from the work of the Royal Family, leading to his decision to step back further from public life.

Ms. Kane, known for being the only person in the UK to have undergone sex reassignment three times, is reported to have invested significant funds in restoring Carbisdale Castle to its former grandeur.
