Investors Sue Selena Gomez Over Mental Health Startup

Must read

Singer and actress Selena Gomez is facing a lawsuit from investors who allege she engaged in fraudulent activities by neglecting her responsibilities to develop and promote her mental health startup. The investors put in approximately $1.2 million into Wondermind Global, a venture that aimed to enhance users’ mental well-being when it launched in 2021.

According to the lawsuit filed in federal court in Delaware, investors were promised that Gomez, a prominent figure on social media with over 500 million followers, would actively participate in the company’s growth as the head of marketing. However, the investors claim that Gomez and other executives failed to deliver on their commitments, such as failing to create a mobile application as promised.

The lawsuit states, “Gomez allegedly entered into a contract to fulfill her obligations and then disregarded it.” The investors further argue that the company did not have a viable business plan and failed to meet fundamental obligations, including timely payments to employees and vendors.

A spokesperson for Gomez has not yet responded to requests for comments on the matter. The lawsuit reveals that investors only became aware of the company’s challenges after an online news article outlined the issues in September 2025. The plaintiffs are seeking to recover their investments along with legal expenses incurred during the process.
