Actor Noel Clarke Accused of Six Sexual Offenses

Must read

Noel Clarke, predominantly recognized for his role in the science fiction series “Doctor Who,” has been formally accused of six sexual offenses, which include two instances of sexual assault, as disclosed by England and Wales’ Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) on Wednesday.

The 50-year-old British actor and filmmaker gained fame for portraying Mickey Smith on the BBC program from 2005 to 2010. Clarke is further charged with one count of exposure and three counts of voyeurism. In legal terms, voyeurism entails observing or recording someone carrying out a private act without their consent, usually for personal gratification.

As per the CPS, the alleged incidents involving Clarke occurred between 2007 and 2016 and are based on complaints from five women.

This development follows revelations from five years ago when a report by The Guardian unveiled claims of sexual harassment, groping, and bullying by 20 women against Clarke, some of whom alleged inappropriate behavior while on the set of “Doctor Who.” Clarke vehemently denied these allegations.

According to The Guardian, the recent charges were filed following an investigation initiated in September 2025.

Clarke is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on October 21.

Beyond his portrayal in “Doctor Who,” Clarke is also recognized for his work in creating and starring in the trilogy of teen crime dramas “Kidulthood” (2006), “Adulthood” (2008), and “Brotherhood” (2016), which delve into themes of substance abuse, bullying, and violence in London’s urban landscape. He directed “Adulthood” and both directed and produced “Brotherhood.” Notable credits in his filmography include “Centurion” (2010), “Fast Girls” (2012), “Star Trek Into Darkness” (2013), and the television series “Bulletproof” (2018-2021).
