Must read

Amazon introduces a new streaming device to its lineup, featuring advancements that surpass current models. The Fire TV Stick HD, Amazon’s latest entry-level gadget, will be available for £39.99 starting later this month. Despite its affordable price, the device boasts enhancements such as a slimmer and more stylish design compared to its predecessor.

With a 30% narrower profile, the Fire TV Stick HD is not only easier to connect to the back of TVs but also more portable for users on the go. An added benefit is that it can draw power directly from the TV’s USB port, eliminating the need for a separate power adapter.

Described by Amazon as their slimmest streaming device to date, the Fire TV Stick HD is optimized for Direct Power through the TV’s USB port, allowing for a more compact placement behind the TV without requiring an additional power adapter.

Similar to other Fire TV Sticks, this device provides instant access to popular streaming services like Disney+, Apple TV, Prime Video, iPlayer, ITVX, and Netflix. It comes with a convenient remote featuring Alexa voice search and quick-launch buttons for apps.

While it doesn’t support 4K quality content, the Fire TV Stick HD offers full HD viewing, which should satisfy most users’ needs.

Amazon touts that the new Fire TV Stick HD delivers significant speed enhancements compared to previous HD models, with over 30% faster performance on average, resulting in quicker startup and app launching.

Equipped with the latest Fire operating system, the device offers a cleaner interface, improved recommendations, and a less cluttered experience when searching for content to watch.

The Fire TV Stick HD is set to hit stores on April 29th with a price tag of £39.99.
