“US Lawmakers Slam Prince Andrew’s Silence on Epstein Probe”

Must read

Former Prince Andrew is facing criticism from US lawmakers for his lack of response to their investigation into the late billionaire sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew, who has been stripped of his royal titles and is preparing to leave his Royal Lodge residence, has been urged by members of the House Oversight Committee to provide testimony regarding his connection with Epstein. Despite the committee’s request for an interview, Andrew has not provided a response.

While the committee does not have the authority to compel non-US citizens to testify, Democratic members Robert Garcia and Congressman Suhas Subramanyam expressed disappointment at Andrew’s silence, emphasizing the need for accountability in the Epstein case. Their statement highlighted the seriousness of the allegations against Andrew and their commitment to seeking justice for survivors.

Following the removal of Andrew’s royal titles by King Charles, the release of Virginia Giuffre’s posthumous memoir shed light on her experiences with Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. Giuffre accused Andrew of sexual assault, which he denies. Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump recently signed legislation allowing the release of Epstein files after facing pressure from Congress.

As Andrew prepares to move out of Royal Lodge, his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson is also adjusting to the changes. Ferguson, who currently resides with Andrew, is reportedly anxious about her future. Despite their close relationship, the couple is said to be sleeping in separate areas of the residence. Ferguson, who has faced public backlash, is exploring alternative living arrangements as Andrew plans to relocate to a property on the Sandringham estate.

Royal expert Hilary Fordwich noted Ferguson’s concerns about her future and the evolving dynamics between her and Andrew. While they have traditionally supported each other through challenges, Ferguson’s association with Epstein has led to public scrutiny and disassociation from charitable organizations. Ferguson is now navigating her next steps as she and Andrew prepare for separate living arrangements.
