A British woman, Sonia Exelby, 32, from Portsmouth, was tragically found dead in a shallow grave in woods in Marion County, Florida. She had traveled to the US, landing at Gainesville Regional Airport on October 10 but failed to return for her scheduled flight back. Authorities discovered that Sonia had allegedly planned to meet a man in Florida who intended to violently end her life. Dwain Hall, 53, was arrested in connection with the case after it was revealed that transactions using Sonia’s credit cards were linked to him. Hall admitted to authorities that he had met Sonia on a fetish website two years prior and claimed that she expressed suicidal thoughts.
Investigations revealed that Hall had violent tendencies and had engaged in sexual activities with Sonia, capturing videos that were later deleted. Video evidence showed Sonia with bruises on her body, appearing hesitant and upset while interacting with Hall.
