Disney Enthusiast’s Tragic End at Resort

Must read

New distressing information has surfaced concerning the passing of a devoted Disney enthusiast, as witnesses recall the alarming moment they were startled by a loud noise at the resort.

Summer Equitz, aged 31, sadly took her own life after traveling solo from Illinois to Disney World Florida, without her family. She leaped from a 12th-floor balcony in front of onlookers and staff at the Contemporary Resort on October 14.

A couple staying at the hotel recounted the heart-wrenching moment when Summer landed just 30 feet away from them on the fourth-floor observation deck. According to an incident report from an Orange County Sheriff’s Deputy obtained by local media, they were outside on the balcony, enjoying the view when they heard a loud noise and turned to see a woman lying on the ground about 10 yards away.

One of the witnesses approached to check if she was breathing, but unfortunately, she showed no signs of life, as per the report. Meanwhile, a hotel staff member, who was on the 15th-floor observation deck with a colleague, witnessed Summer’s fatal plunge from three floors above. Upon reaching the 12th floor, they discovered a blue tote bag against the steel rail guard, as detailed in The New York Post.

Based on Summer’s LinkedIn profile, she had previously served as a character performer and entertainment host at Disneyland Anaheim resort from 2012 to 2015. Just last year, she and her husband Nicholas Danlovich celebrated their honeymoon at Walt Disney World. A photo shared by Summer showed her with Bob Iger, the CEO of the Walt Disney Company, captioned: “My life has peaked.”

Sadly, ten months prior to her demise, Summer announced her pregnancy and posted an ultrasound image, as reported by the Sun. She posted a picture of herself and her husband holding the baby scan in their home kitchen, shortly after their Disney honeymoon in Orlando, Florida – the same location where she met her tragic end.

The sorrowful incident occurred not long after another visitor to Disneyland in California passed away after experiencing the Haunted Mansion ride. A woman in her 60s, who visited the park on October 6, was found unresponsive after riding the attraction, and despite efforts by Disneyland security personnel and paramedics, she was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
