She explained that she was left without essential necessities like food, money, and clothes. Kira Cousins from Airdrie, Scotland, managed to deceive her family by presenting a plastic doll as her infant, even going as far as wearing a fake pregnancy bump for months before faking a solitary childbirth.
Recently, a GoFundMe page surfaced, apparently initiated by Kira, seeking financial assistance due to her current predicament. The plea on the page highlighted her desperate situation, stating her lack of basic essentials and expressing regret over her actions. Despite the plea for donations, Kira denied creating the fundraiser when questioned by the Daily Record, revealing that she did not have control over the associated Instagram account and had reported the page to authorities.
The fundraising campaign, monitored by GoFundMe, has only collected £20 to date. A close acquaintance of Kira, who opted to remain anonymous, previously labeled Kira as a dishonest individual and expressed skepticism upon hearing about the fundraising efforts. Moreover, a production company has expressed interest in creating a documentary on Kira, while other parties connected to the incident have reportedly been approached.
Kira had extensively documented her fabricated pregnancy journey, including sharing baby scan images and videos of a grand gender reveal event leading up to the claimed birth of her “daughter” on October 10. She went to great lengths to maintain the illusion, even fabricating hospital visits and medical complications for the fictitious baby. When confronted, Kira admitted to fabricating the entire story, expressing remorse and acknowledging the harm caused to those who believed her deceit.
